Angels

There's no one in town that I know,
You gave us some place to go,
I never said thank you for that,
I thought I might get one more chance.

What would you think of me now,
So lucky, so strong, so proud?
I never said thank you for that,
Now I'll never have the chance.

May angels lead you in,
Hear you me my friends,
On sleepless roads, the sleepless go,
May angels lead you in.

So what would you think of me now,
So lucky, so strong, so proud?
I never said thank you for that,
Now I'll never have the chance.

May angels lead you in,
Hear you me my friends,
On sleepless roads, the sleepless go,
May angels lead you in.

May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in...

And if you were with me tonight,
I'd sing to you just one last time,
A song for a heart so big,
God couldn't let it live.

May angels lead you in,
Hear you me my friends,
On sleepless roads, the sleepless go,
May angels lead you in.

  2. It's one of mine too, and fitted the mood I was in this morning. I'll post later about how today went, and what I feel after the service.

This song's been on my mind this week, amongst others, but this one most.

  3. I like the lyrics of this song, but have not heard it before. Need to hear it soon.

Also, noted that it is part of your msn name. Vigilance Maximoso!

  4. Em: It is a beautiful, beautiful song. Very pretty. I played it to DB today, and they agreed.

Jono: Remind me, and I'll let you listen to it one day. It's quite a good song. And, if somebody felt it fitted with how they saw me and my life, it would be something I might want played at my funeral. Congratulations on your vigilance. But not Vigilante-ance.
